Ballantyne comes back to the origin and restarts a part of production in Scotland, where it was born.
The Scottish yarn has always been considered one of the best in the world. It is so thanks to the purity of the rivers, in which the artisans wash the cashmere, and to the high level of textile craftsmanship. The Scottish artisans carry on a centenary weaving know-how, generation by generation.
In the Fall-Winter 2017-18 collection, the touch of the Scotland made products is rough. The favorite patterns come from Nordic inspirations: braided, Aran or fisherman’s rib. Pullovers are soft and thick (thanks to the low gauge), as the English tradition required.
It is the Ballantyne’s homecoming. The brand retrieves one of the best textile traditions with an increased awareness.
